Aston Martin Vantage N400
We’ve got some difficult choices ahead of us. We’re planning a trip down to the south of France this spring and can’t make up our minds on what car to book!
Our hearts and heads are between the Vantage N400 Coupe or a Porsche 911 C2s Cabriolet. We never drove the N400 coupe so I’ve booked it for this weekend to give it a try.
The specs are certainly impressive:

6 speed manual |

BHP |
400bhp |
|
Weight |
1630kg |
|

Sat-Nav |

|

4380mm |

As with any Aston, the sound (or should I say music) is fantastic when the valves open over 4,000 RPM. As suspected, that it’s a much better car than the 57 Vantage that we rented a year ago and drove around the Isle of Wight. We can thank ProDrive for that.
This is what P1 has to say about the N400:
“The N400 was built as a sportier V8 Vantage road car to mark Aston Martin’s achievement at the Nurburgring N24 events. Differences from the standard car include a comprehensive package of chassis upgrades, new lightweight wheels and more power from the 4.3 litre V8, which now develops 400 bhp and shares technology used in the DBS.”
We’re going to have a swell weekend, even though it doesn’t help us with our difficult choice!

I am a former driver for P1 and hope that they rise from the ashes and prosper – and that you get the value out of your membership. However, I feel that the current economic conditions may have undermined the business model totally. I remember the cars with affection and hope that your blog will continue.

The conditions are not helping but wealthy people are still wealthy. There is always demand for this type of model, albeit less than 12 months ago! Like in any recession, the weak players will get squeazed out. I still believe the model is good and do hope that P1 will rise from its ashes in the next few days. Michael was quite positive in his last email but the lack of information in the last 5 days do worry me.
